Basic Grey Christmas Scrapbook Page

I love the idea of taking pictures of a new ornament (either made or bought) and making a scrapbook page or a Christmas card out of it.  I'm doing a December Daily scrapbook with Studio Calico right now and am going to include a few pictures of new ornaments.  I think this scrapbook page page is really a good source of inspiration!

Seaweed Print

I love to incorporate bits of nature into any craft that my daughter and I do. While visiting my parents in New York, we often go to the beach and collect *stuff*! Stuff being sea glass, shells, etc! During the month of June and beginning of July beautiful seaweed appears on the shore in shades of pinks, reds and oranges (rather than the standard greens and browns). Here is a sample of the art we have made using only seaweed.

It requires that you do the art with poster board (Elmer's poster board from Michael's works great) submerged in water. In doing this you capture the beauty of the seaweed as if it were floating in water. Simply lay it in the sun to dry and *voila* you have a beautiful print!
